Where Our Responsibility Ends, and Why We Say So

Travel writing usually lists what an operator does. It is as useful to know what an operator does not do. Two boundaries matter most on a China trip: insurance, and permits.

Insurance Is Yours to Arrange

Travel insurance is a contract between the traveller and an insurer. We do not sell it, price it or act as a party to it; a claim is decided by your policy wording, not your itinerary.

What we can do is give you the details a policy needs: travel dates, cities in the final plan, accommodation addresses and the type of activity, so your insurer can quote accurately. We also supply evidence that a licensed operator is delivering the trip, if an insurer asks.

What we cannot do is tell you a policy will pay out. Emergency medical cover, cancellation and activity exclusions differ by insurer and market, so read them before you buy: the contract terms you sign with us and the policy you buy are separate.

Permits and Registrations Are Ours

The paperwork that depends on being a licensed Chinese entity sits on our side: the travel agency licence itself, itinerary registration where local rules require it, vehicle and driver permits for transport we arrange, and the guide credentials of the guides we assign. That is why our licence number is on our licence page rather than buried in an attachment.

Two practical notes. Some sites require visitor registration in advance, with name and passport details submitted through an operator; where that applies, we handle it and confirm in writing. And when a vehicle or guide outside our base cities comes through a partner in another province, that permit sits with the partner. Three Things We Cannot Do

• We cannot insure you. Cover is arranged by you, with an insurer of your choice.
• We cannot guarantee visa outcomes. Entry permission is decided by the issuing authority, not by an invitation letter or a confirmed booking.
• We cannot promise an attraction or a train will be available: inventory is released and withdrawn by the supplier on its own schedule, and we book what is open when we book.

Naming these limits is not caution for its own sake: it tells you which risks to plan around and which belong to us. Travellers who understand the split raise better questions early - about mobility, medical needs and access requirements - and those answers improve an itinerary.
