Yandang Mountain: Misty Peaks and Waterfall Valleys
Yandang Mountain: Misty Peaks and Waterfall Valleys
Why Visit Yandang Mountain
Yandang Mountain is a landscape of extremes: granite peaks soaring over 1,000 meters, waterfalls plunging into deep valleys, and temples clinging to cliff faces. It's been celebrated in Chinese painting and poetry for over 1,200 years. The 'Three Wonders' — Lingfeng Peak, Lingyan Rock and Dalongqiu Waterfall — each represent a different facet of Yandang's beauty. At night, the peaks take on silhouettes that have inspired imaginative names: Husband and Wife Peak, Rhinoceros Looking at the Moon. The hike between them passes through bamboo groves, past ancient cave dwellings and across streams.
Highlights You Cannot Miss
Lingfeng Peak
'Spirit Peak' with two towering granite pillars that seem to merge at sunset. The most photographed view at Yandang.
